Sheril Herman serves as Vice President of American Companion Care and is a co-founder of the company. She spends a lot of her day in the field meeting new clients and working as a liaison between American Companion Care and the community.
As a true Kansas native, Sheril’s passion for helping people has been the focus of her work for decades. Born in Kansas City, KS and raised in Mission, her strong background in education and psychology has added value to many business and non-profit organizations and endeavors. Whether it is teaching children, training adults as a personal fitness trainer/instructor or volunteering in various roles with philanthropic organizations or churches, Sheril has found it satisfying to help others.
In 2002 with that same interest in mind, Sheril co-founded American Companion Care, LLC. Since that time she has helped to develop and train an internal staff and team of 140 caregivers in the KC Metro area. Starting with a firm belief that there is “No Place Like Home” Sheril has been a catalyst and a leader in the community in helping seniors to “age in place” safely.
Sheril is an active member of the American Business Woman's Association where serves as Vice President of Communication and is soon to be inducted as President-elect. Sheril is active in the National Association of Women Business Owners. She also serves in official capacity as an Ambassador with the Leawood Chamber of Commerce and recently served as Committee Chairperson. Sheril is married to her college sweetheart and they have three beautiful children, a fantastic son-in-law and two grandsons.
