Caregivers
The caregivers which we employ are screened and selected based on their experience, qualifications, history of dependability and compassionate nature. American Companion Care has found that being compassionate is not something you can train a person to be; it has to come from the heart. We also conduct a comprehensive background screening by checking each reference, checking all past employers provided, reviewing credentials and completing a criminal background check. If caregivers will be driving our clients we keep on file a current copy of their drivers license and a current insurance card. We also run Motor Vehicle checks of their driving record. American Companion Care is also bonded and insured.
A prerequisite for becoming part of the care team is the requirement of one year experience. In addition to the fact that many of the caregivers are certified and licensed in relevant fields, we encourage additional training in Parkinson's and Alzheimer's diseases to enhance their personal and professional growth.
Our motto is "There's no place like home".
We feel these compassionate caregivers are the best in the field. No matter where you or your loved one is in life's journey, American Companion Care is eager to help.
Matching
The compatibility of our clients and their companions is a top priority. If you don't feel the caregiver is right for you, for any reason, any time, we'll provide a different care provider to you until you are completely satisfied. That's our guarantee.
After creating and reviewing an individual client assessment our goal is to make a good match between the client and a companion so that any need can be accommodated. Owners, Natalie and Sheril, will personally review your needs and help you develop a plan if you need assistance. You can relax in the knowledge that your care team will work hard to see that your plan is carried out to your satisfaction.
