55% of all falls take place inside the home. More than three-quarters of falls among seniors take place either inside or in close proximity to the home. Home safety is important, especially if you are choosing to age in place.
We cannot talk about kitchen safety without mentioning the danger of burns. The 3 most common forms of serious injury for seniors are falls, burns, and medication errors. Safety in the kitchen is essential to successful aging in place.
